New Hyde Park NY-- A new series of 2-jaw sealed parallel grippers from Techno-Sommer Automatic features a unique design that combines the features of tight sealing against particles and liquids as well as providing the capability of handling large moment loads.

Identified as the GP1800 Series, they are suited for use in machining environments where liquids and particles are a constant problem, this series of grippers features fully sealed guides. In addition, the gripper guides feature a unique 4 sided rectangular shape with rounded corners for handling large moment loads better than traditional round sealed guides.

The unique four sided guides of the GP1800 series with the rounded corners allow much higher moment loading than traditionally "round" guides, while the rounded corners still allow a full seal of the guides.

The gripper series is available in stroke ranges from 3mm per jaw up to 30mm per jaw and with gripping forces that range from 48N (10.5 lbf) to 4450N (979 lbf) to fit a wide variety of applications.

Like all Techno-Sommer grippers, the GP1800 Series features multiple sets of air connections, as well as multiple standard mounting holes for greater mounting flexibility. This series was specifically designed to make even the most unusual applications easy to complete.
