Two New Miniature Grippers From Techno-Sommer
New
Hyde Park, New York -- Two new miniature grippers from
Techno-Sommer Automatic are characterized by their slim design. By changing
the pin linkage configuration, the gripper can be changed from pneumatic-closing
and spring-opening to spring-closing and pneumatic-opening. Because of
the small size of these finger grippers, direct monitoring is not possible,
and a control valve must be used instead. The gripper's jaws are made of
steel and can be easily machined up to 10 mm. Additional air connections
located on the back as well. These are factory-plugged. There is also a
double-acting version of the GM16 gripper which has air connections for
both opening and closing.
The GM Series all have a total stroke
wedge of 7o
and a closing torques of 6 Ncm, 20 Ncm, and 40 Ncm. The basic dimensions
are 11 mm x 63 mm on the smaller unit and 16 mm x 84 mm for the two larger
ones.
