Two New Rotary Actuators from Techno-Sommer
Automatic Feature 4-Position Step Rotors Plus
Compact Sizes
New
Hyde Park, NY -- Two new rotary actuators from Techno-Sommer Automatic
feature the ability to rotate in 4 adjustable steps plus their compact
sizes. Rotary actuators are commonly used in automation applications as
ratchet drives for rotary tables, as rotators for a robot arms, for opening
and closing valves, for tilting containers, for rotating components for
insertion, etc. These step rotor units consists of an outer and inner vane.
The outer vane and the stop of the inner vane are a single piece. The position
of the inner vane therefore determines the position of the shaft. Four different
positions may be achieved via four air inlets.
The 0.521 kg smaller unit, model
SH-5, features rotational angles of up to 390o at up to 240 cycles per
minute. Operating pressure is from 3 to7 bar. The axial and radial
load is 29 N and 59 N respectively. The operating torque is 1 Nm
at 6 bar.
The 1.137 kg larger unit, model SH-20,
features rotational angles of up to 480o at up to 180 cycles per minute.
Operating pressure is from 3 to 7 bar. The axial and radial load is 43
N and 85 N respectively. The operating torque is 3.4 Nm at 6 bar.
