Eight New Separating Indexers From Techno-Sommer 
Are Designed To Count, Separate, And/Or Sort Parts
 

New Hyde Park, NY -- One of the most important functions in a production line is the separation and feeding of individual parts for further processing. Two new separator indexers from Techno-Sommer Automatic are designed to perform a variety of functions including; count, separate, and/or sort parts. Stroke lengths range from 20mm to 60mm. All models incorporate double acting, reciprocating cylinders with an opening force up to 220N at 6 bar. Two air fittings control the indexer opening and closing cycle times of just 0.25 sec. each way. Two styles are offered, the VE Series which features dual tappet rods, and VEG Series which features a single tappet rod. The VE Series is powered by independent pistons. Internal air passages and a finger locking pin allow one finger to retract only after the other finger is completely extended. The clearance between separator fingers must be custom fabricated to accommodate specific part spacing 
requirements.
