New Hyde Park, New York -- New ZK Series of toggle tongs gripper from Techno-Sommer Automatic features a closing force of up to 4200 Ncm to hold, squeeze or cut wires, cables, or chains. The gripper achieves its enormous closing force as a result of the long lever effect of the toggle. This product is available on a special free trial evaluation basis. In addition, a free .DXF CAD file drawing of this gripper is available. 

With the gripper in the closed position the toggle is extended and guarantees mechanical self-locking. The gripped part is therefore held safely even if the compressed air should fail. Two pins mounted on the jaws can be used with optional mounting blocks for proximity switches to monitor the gripper. Standard jaws are available for the unit for crimping and cutting.

The gripper housing is hard-coated aluminum.  All working parts are made from chrome-plated hardened steel. A sufficient number of pins and attachment holes facilitates assembly. Air connections for the double-acting cylinder are located on both the front and back of the unit.
