New Hyde Park, NY - A new line of Long Stroke Parallel Grippers from Techno-Sommer, Inc. called the GH6 Series features a robust T-slotted jaw design for the toughest loads. Additional design features make this a versatile gripper. Some of the design benefits include a T-slot jaw guide that is fully supported along the entire jaw travel to increase stability and provide greater moment load capacity. The jaws are ensured of being synchronized thru a rack & pinion drive. There are dual cylinders that power the jaws directly that are connected through internal porting to make sure that both jaws get maximum power. To make air connections easier and more flexible, the main air ports are on the side and alternate ports on the bottom allow connecting to a manifold plate for hoseless connections. There are 4 different sizes in this family of grippers providing strokes ranging from 80mm (3.14in) up to 400mm (15.75in) and up to 3000N (660 lbs) of gripping force.
