Advice from the Automation Guru:
Dear Doctor Gripper…
Dear
Doc: Am I expected to be a beacon of sensitivity when my
vacuum units don’t show me any? For instance, if I set up my
cups in a series to pick up circuit board components, and
there is one, just one open cup – they drop EVERYTHING!
I don’t mean to sound callous, but
I’m not fond of losing
money; vacuum doesn’t grow on trees you know. Give it to me
straight Doc: Am I being unreasonable?
–Tired of picking up the
pieces
Dear Tired: You shouldn’t
feel guilty about leaving your
current cups for those that better suit your needs. I’m
prescribing the Techno Sommer SAV-M/SAM Series Vacuum Valve
and Part Sensor. Their vacuum is only activated when a
spring loaded pin comes in contact with the part. And their
built-in mount allows for an optional proximity switch sending
constant signals to the end user. Result: no dropping of
parts, no wasting of vacuum. So, get reasonable and get the SAV-M/SAM
Series from Sommer.
Dear Doc: I’m simply not
attracted to my vacuum. It may
seem shallow, but I need a vacuum that’s really built! One
with
eye-popping measurements, the very best equipment, the whole
nine-yards. Doc, can you help me find what I’m looking for?
–Searching in Seattle
Dear Searching: Plan to put an
end to your odyssey! Techno Sommer has the vacuum for you.
Their SAV-M/SAM Vacuum Series is fully loaded. Here are
just a few of the special qualities you’re looking for: a
sleek one-inch center-to-center profiling; talk about built!
how about a built-in vacuum valve and sensor part; and if
looking for speed, get the optional vacuum generator. Now that’s
something to get excited about.
