The Tools, They Are-A-Changin’ 
Techno-Sommer offers seven different sizes in our WW Series Tool-Changer line, ranging
from 2" in diameter to 10" in diameter. Robotic tool-changers perform multiple functions, that can involve a number of electric, pneumatic and hydraulic connections, as well as a number of gripping and tooling units, all with just one robot. These tool-changing units greatly enhance production capabilities. A single robot can sequentially be used for gripping, assembling, testing, packing and even welding by changing tools automatically. Beyond the limitless production potential, Techno-Sommer takes great pride in our tool-changer’s reliability. They can handle high load capacities up to 500 kg (1000 lb); boast a repeatability of +0.02 mm; are designed with positive locking, eliminating any free-play problems; and due to a special safety mechanism, will not drop your part(s) even if air pressure fails. 

Even Welding Made Easy…
Both the WW220FE and the WW250 Tool-Changing Units are made suitable for welding applications. These two models can
handle the ‘high current’ requirements for spot-welding. The WW220FE is capable of supporting up to 550V, 110 amps/3-Phase power and up to 550V, 135 amps/3-Phase power for the WW250, as well as hydraulic connections for coolant flow to the welding gun.

Dude! It’s Totally Modular!
The WW250 Modular Tool-Changing Unit has room for six interchangeable modules, where any module can either be pneumatic, hydraulic, electric or blank. So, in essence, you can
tailor your tool-changer to any multi-faceted application. AND if your application happens to change, you simply substitute the unit’s modules to mirror that change. It’s that easy! Note: Techno-Sommer also has a Manual Quick-Change Tool-Changer (HW80) available.
